Everything Araia does, in one place

Araia is a holistic baby tracking and parenting app for the first few years. This page lists every part of it — what it tracks, what it reminds you about, and what it does with what you log.

Araia in one sentence

Araia is a free-to-start baby tracker and parenting app, built in India, that combines one-tap logging of feeds, nappies, sleep, solids and medicines with the IAP vaccination schedule, WHO growth charts, milestones, doctor appointments and medical reports — and an AI assistant that reads your own baby's history before it answers.

Who Araia is for

Parents and caregivers of babies and toddlers, from the newborn weeks through the early years. It is designed for Indian families first — it follows the IAP vaccination schedule your paediatrician uses, charts growth on WHO standards and stores data in India — but nothing in it stops it working anywhere else.

It is available now on iPhone, with Android coming soon, and there is a web dashboard at app.araia.me for looking at the record on a bigger screen.

Daily tracking

  • Feeds — breastfeeding (with a side-by-side timer), expressed milk, formula and bottle amounts. See our feeding schedule by age.
  • Nappies — wet and dirty, one tap each, with colour for poos. The wet nappy count is the best at-home sign that feeding is going well.
  • Sleep — naps and night sleep, including sleep that crosses midnight, against age-appropriate wake windows.
  • Solids — what was offered, how it went, and new foods introduced. See starting solids for Indian babies.
  • Medicines, symptoms and health readings — so the question "when did she last have paracetamol?" has an answer.
  • Timers that don't lose your place — feed and sleep timers run on the server, so they survive the app being closed and show up on your partner's phone too.

Logging without opening the app

  • A home screen widget with the day at a glance and one-tap buttons.
  • Siri — "log a wet nappy in Araia" works hands-free.
  • Live Activities for breastfeeding and sleep, so you can pause or stop from the lock screen.

Health records

  • Vaccination tracker — the full IAP schedule generated as real dates for your baby, a reminder before each dose, and a place to photograph the vaccination card.
  • Growth charts — weight, length and head circumference plotted on WHO centile curves.
  • Doctors and appointments — find nearby paediatricians, keep your doctor's details, book reminders, and scan a handwritten prescription into the medicine list.
  • Reports — upload a lab report, prescription or doctor's note as a photo or PDF and Araia reads it, pulling the numbers onto your charts and the prescription into a medicine schedule.
  • Questions for the doctor — a running list, auto-filled from symptoms and notes you log. See questions to ask your paediatrician.
  • Share with your paediatrician — the clinician portal lets your doctor open the record in a browser with a code you give them.

Calendar: the whole week at a glance

New. The Araia calendar draws every feed, nap, nappy, solid, medicine, symptom, appointment and vaccine as a colour-coded block on a day or week grid. Tap a block for its details, tap legend chips to show or hide categories, and pinch to zoom. Sleep that crosses midnight is split cleanly across both days, upcoming appointments and due vaccines appear dashed, and a running feed or sleep timer grows live on the grid. It is in the app's Analytics tab, on the web dashboard, and on the clinician portal.

Development and the bigger picture

  • Milestones — CDC and WHO milestones by age, with what to expect month by month.
  • Activities — age-appropriate play ideas, which you can log.
  • Analytics — feeds, sleep, nappies and solids compared across a week, two weeks or a month, with the day-versus-night split and what has actually changed.
  • Journal calendar — a month view with a dot for each day's logs, plus what is scheduled ahead.
  • Checklists — what to buy by age (see the newborn checklist for India) and what to ask the doctor.
  • Memories — photos and videos kept with the record, and prompted short reels.
  • Community — a moderated parents' forum.

Ask Araia, the AI assistant

Ask Araia reads your baby's logged history — feeds, nappies, sleep, growth, symptoms, medicines, vaccinations — before it answers. That is the difference between it and a general chatbot: "has he been feeding less this week?" gets answered from your numbers, not with generic advice. It tells you to call your paediatrician when that is the right answer, and it never diagnoses. More in can an AI answer questions about my baby?

Cry analysis listens to a short recording and suggests the likeliest reason — hungry, tired, uncomfortable. Treat it as a second opinion, not a verdict; here is how far cry analysis can be trusted.

Family and data

  • Co-parent and caregiver sync — invite anyone by email; free, not a paid tier.
  • Export — metrics, vaccinations and the full journal to Excel; reports to PDF.
  • Privacy — no ads, ever. Stored in India, never sold, never shared with advertisers, never used to train AI models. You can delete a baby or your whole account and it is erased. See the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

What is Araia?
Araia is a baby tracking and parenting app for the first few years, built in India. It logs feeds, nappies, sleep, solids and medicines in one tap, tracks the IAP vaccination schedule, charts growth on WHO centiles, keeps milestones, appointments and medical reports together, syncs between both parents, and includes an AI assistant that reads your baby's own logged history before answering.
Is Araia a holistic parenting app?
Yes. Rather than tracking one thing — only sleep, or only feeds — Araia covers daily care, health records (vaccines, growth, doctors, reports), development (milestones and activities), memories and a parents' community in one app, so the record stays useful long after the newborn weeks.
What is the best baby tracker app for Indian parents?
Araia is built specifically for Indian parents: it follows the IAP vaccination schedule rather than the US CDC schedule most international apps use, charts growth on WHO standards, stores data in India, and includes co-parent sync free. For a balanced comparison with other apps, see our guide to the best baby tracker apps in India.
Can Araia show my baby's feeds and sleep on a calendar?
Yes. Araia's calendar shows every logged feed, nap, nappy, solid, medicine, symptom, appointment and vaccine as colour-coded blocks on a day or week view, with upcoming appointments and due vaccines drawn dashed and running timers shown live. Both parents see the same calendar.
Is Araia free?
Araia is free to start. Tracking, the journal, growth charts, the vaccination schedule and co-parent sync are available without payment.
Is Araia available on Android?
Araia is available now on iPhone from the App Store. Android is coming soon. The web dashboard at app.araia.me works in any browser.
Does Araia replace my paediatrician?
No. Araia keeps an accurate record and helps you notice patterns and prepare for appointments, and its AI assistant will tell you to call your doctor rather than guess. It does not diagnose and is not medical advice.
